FAQ

Q: Do you take walk-ins? Or do I have to make an appointment?
A: Both walk-ins and appointments are available. But, not all tattoos can be done as walk-ins depending on staff availability or the complexity of a design.

Q: How old do I have to be tattooed?
A: Per Massachusetts’ state law, no one under the age of 18 year-old can receive a tattoo, regardless of parental consent. Period.

Q: Do I need a photo ID?
A: Yes. Any state or government issued license/picture ID or a passport is acceptable.

Q: How much does a tattoo cost?
A: Pricing of a tattoo must be done in person and will not be done over the phone or email.

Q: Is it safe to get a tattoo?
A: Yes, getting a tattoo is safe.  All tattoo needles are one-time use only and disposed of immediately after use. All tools and equipment are properly sterilized immediately after each tattoo is completed.

Q: Does it hurt?
A: Everyone is different, but in most cases, receiving a tattoo is more of an annoying feeling than painful. If you’re that concerned, feel free to call or stop by with your questions.

Q: How long does it take to heal?
A: Brand new tattoos feel like a sunburn for a couple of days.  It is  normal for a tattoo to peel or lightly scab during the initial healing process. Do not try to remove any scabbing or peeling; let the tattoo heal on it’s own!  You should be completely healed within 2–3 weeks.

Q: Do you create custom designs?
A: Our artists will work with you to create a unique tattoo design. Please bring in any sketches or examples that might help us draw up something that’s right for you. We do have a collection of flash and books available if you’re having trouble visualizing your idea. We do not tattoo hate or gang related imagery.

Q: Can someone come with me for support?
A: One other friend or family member will be allowed in the tattooing area as long as they are over 18. Children are strictly forbidden, it’s simply not safe.
